It took a while, but @pod2g and his crew have finally come out with an un tethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1, and I must say it is the slickest I have seen yet. I jailbroke my iPhone 4 using Absinthe 2.0.1 a bit over 24 hours ago and am very impressed with the reliability so far. Additionally I found zero slowdown took place, which has been a real problem with many of the jailbreaks that have come out with iOS5.

A few things to note about this jailbreak:
- It will take a long time. Instead of having iTunes open up after you jailbreak the phone so that you can restore from a backup, the Absinthe software does everything by itself with no need for iTunes.
- Make sure you are using Absinthe 2.0.1 and NOT 2.0.0 which was released earlier yesterday. Version 2.0.1 can be located here.
