4k by 2k Resolution Makes its US Debut at CES

Though is has been around in Japan for a while, 4080p has not been seen in the US. Last week at CES the newest TV resolution standard was debuted. 4K by 2K is the next size we will all have to worry about. Though it is a few years off, the amazing 4080p resolution required around 20gb of space for 10 minutes of video. At this size we are nowhere near ready to deal with that sort of resolution. With cable being as compressed as it is, we need bigger pipelines into our home to deal with this new technology.

Razer Shows off Powerful Gaming Tablet at CES

This week at CES Razer, who is known for their gaming equipment, showed off what is most likely the most powerful tablet on the market today.  The Razer EDGE Windows 8 Gaming Tablet is one hell of a device, and should help advance the tablet gaming market even further.  Initial specs say that it will have an Intel Core i5 Processor, an Nvidia GT640M LE GPU, and 8GB of ram!  The device also features a cradle that it can be docked with that provides similar controls to an XBOX 360 on each side of the tablet.  Additionally, if you want to take the tablet to school or work that can be done as well, with a case that essentially turns the device into a laptop.  Overall this looks like a really cool device that could really help push gaming from consoles to a bit more of the tablet market.
