If you have an iOS device that is jail broken, go and pick yourself up a program called Atom Launcher from the Cydia Store. As the screenshot below shows, you are able to choose frequently used apps to access from your lockscreen.
Glad to see apps like this showing up. They’ve been around on Android for a while but the architecture of iOS makes screen launcher programs a bit less opportune.
